The Capacity Expansion program expands utilities distribution grid and upgrades their system from 4kV to 12kV, as well as 34kV resiliency and station hardening.
ComEd recently implemented the CapEx program to modernize the grid for changing needs and evolving expectations. KGDR Consultants Inc. assisted Burns & McDonnell as sub-consultants with program management and project controls on the CapEx program. We supported project management activities, progress reporting, scope management, and planning of long-term budget.
KGDR also assisted in managing their schedule and cost to ensure timely completion within budget. Our professional support in the construction field, permit and material coordination, real estate rights/coordination, scope changes, and contractor management assisted the company to achieve its goal swiftly and efficiently. This program was completed in January 2021.
